Kurdoglu Asgarov: “It seems that my father’s condition is so bad that he can not even write a letter”

Kurdoglu Asgarov, son of Dilgam Asgarov, who is in Armenian captivity, says that he has not received any news or letters from his father for more than a year. He told Sputnik Azerbaijan that the International Red Cross Committee responds to his appeals each time in the same way.

“The last letter of November 1, 2017, was presented by the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Unfortunately, from that date, we did not receive any letters from my father. Our desire to live video chat with my father is also not positively answered. I appeal to the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross on a regular basis. Responding to my requests, they say that “your father does not want to write letters or send videos”, – said Kurdoghlu Asgarov.

“I do not believe it. I think that’s nonsense. My dad is old and sick. Probably, there are problems with my father’s health, that is why the members of the International Committee of the Red Cross have not been able to bring his videos. Apparently, my father’s condition is so bad that he can not even write a letter. Therefore, there is no letter from him”, – he added.

Dilgam Asgarov’s son also expressed dissatisfaction with the neglect of international organizations to this issue: “I follow the press every day. For an ordinary blogger, they raise people, the Washington Post publishes an article, the PACE and other influential organizations make statements, but, unfortunately, they do not even say any word about Dilgam and Shahbaz, who are in Armenian captivity and have been subjected tortures while visiting their native lands”.
