Russian co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov announces exchange of captives and hostages

Igor Popov, co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group from Russia, made a statement today.

According to him, during the conversation with the international mediators on the results of the meeting in New York, new approaches to the resolution of humanitarian issues between the conflicting parties were presented. “The main focus of the discussion is on those who are detained on both sides,” – Popov said.

Igor Popov added that the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have recently met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer in Geneva and had a very constructive conversation with him.
