ICRC visits Armenian prisoner of war Araik Kazaryan

The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with his condition and state of health

On Monday, August 19, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited Araik Kazaryan, an Armenian serviceman escaped from the military unit in Armenia and currently detained in Azerbaijan.

According to a statement circulated by the ICRC’s Armenian office, the visit was made in order to check the conditions of Araik Kazaryan, his state of health, and also to maintain prisoner relations with his family members. This was stated by the head of communication programs of the ICRC delegation in Armenia Zara Amatuni.
